Manufacturer Description

Gojira / Godzilla, King of the Monsters

The first of the Godzilla films, and the most somber and severe in tone, Gojiro was formerly a 98-minute Japanese horror film, right up until a U.S. company acquired the rights and reissued the film at 79 minutes, replacing sequences involving a Japanese reporter with new inserts of a dour, pipe-smoking cigarettes Raymond Burr. Each versions seem with each other for the first time in this release from Sony Surprise.

Godzilla Raids Once again

Godzilla is again, and this time he’s not alone! Godzilla and the spiny monster Anguirus are in a heated battle on a modest Japanese island. As the danger of destruction mounts, two Japanese heroes muster their courage for the last showdown with Godzilla.

Mothra vs. Godzilla

Soon after a intense typhoon, Mothra’s gigantic egg washes ashore Japan. Meanwhile Godzilla reawakens and tramples across the land, heading straight for the massive egg. Can Mothra help save her offspring from Godzilla? Will Japan endure this epic monster battle?

Ghidorah: The 3-Headed Monster

Ghidorah, the 3-Headed Monster -- A prophetess from Venus foretells cataclysmic disasters! Godzilla, Mothra and Rodan reappear in Japan, wreaking havoc! A large meteor crashes into the mountains and the a few-headed, fireplace-spitting area dragon King Ghidorah emerges! As the Venusian's prophecies come genuine, assassins from a small Asian kingdom hunt her down, whilst the Earth monsters should choose whether or not to settle their petty differences and be part of forces from the extraterrestrial enemy!

Invasion of Astro-Monster

Invasion of Astro-Monster/Godzilla vs. Monster Zero -- Aliens from Earth X borrow our monsters for a minor extermination project, but they have got one thing else up their sleeves: world domination! Making use of head-management technology, these vinyl-and-sunglasses putting on spacemen turn Godzilla, Rodan and King Ghidorah free in Japan, demanding Earth's surrender! It can be up to American astronaut F. Glenn, his galaxy-trotting buddy Fuji, and nerdy inventor Tetsuo to break the aliens' maintain on the monsters and help save our planet from selected doom.

Terror of Mechagodzilla

Evil spacemen from the Black Hole are plotting to flatten Tokyo and develop their personal utopian metropolis. Aided by deranged scientist Dr. Mafune, the aliens unleash a rebuilt Mechagodzilla and the monster Titanosaurus to do their evil bidding, right up until Godzilla surfaces to defend his homeland and the earth-shattering destruction commences.

Mothra vs. Godzilla

Far more visually splendid and imaginatively published than the other Godzilla sequels, this (the fourth in the series) commences when Mothra's gigantic egg washes ashore in Japan, having been dislodged from Mothra Island by a hurricane. Two small twin girls (often singing like twin-diminutive Dorothy Lamours) from the island come to plead for the return of the egg by the greedy enterprise men who acquired it for a tourist attraction, but to no avail. Radiation from nuclear testing revives Godzilla from the earth, who proceeds to threaten the egg and the cities, unless of course Mothra and his larvae hatched from the egg can stop him. The battle sequences among Mothra and Godzilla, and among Godzilla and the larvae, are spectacularly vivid and colorful. --Jim Gay

Terror of Mechagodzilla

In 1974, Inoshiro Honda, the authentic and greatest Godzilla director, returned right after a five-year absence to direct this 20th-anniversary commemoration to Gojira (the authentic Japanese identify for Godzilla, ahead of the West Anglicized it). This is the fifteenth film in the Godzilla series, and the eleventh by director Honda. However yet again the aliens (from the 3rd planet of the black hole, no matter what that indicates they never genuinely offer directions) stage a takeover of Earth, this time with the aid of Mechagodzilla and Titanosaurus (they're just what they audio like). They owe the mad scientist Mafuni for the use of Titanosaurus, who in turn owes the aliens for resurrecting his daughter, Katsura, badly hurt in an accident, albeit now as a cyborg with the potential to management their two mecha-monsters. It styles up as the combat of the century when Godzilla is pressed into support for our facet. The battling behemoths find the money for the most dramatic and vivid combat scenes in all of Godzilladom in this a single. Let us hope the aliens never win they're so smug. --Jim Gay
